Food Service
The Preschool and Child Care Center participates in the State of Michigan Child Care Food Program and follows all guidelines set forth by the State of Michigan with regard to nutrition, menu planning, serving sizes and preparation. The center employs a nutritionist that plans and implements all meals at the center. The nutritionist consults with a registered dietician monthly to insure all Michigan Child Care Food Program guidelines are being followed closely.
Each day we offer breakfast at 8:30am, a morning snack, hot lunch at noon and afternoon snack. All snacks consist of at least two of the four food groups while breakfast and lunch consist of all 4 food groups at each meal. All food costs are included in the daily cost of care for each child.
