The John Ball Traveling Zoo
“All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.”~ Cecil Frances Alexander
The John Ball Traveling Zoo came to the center and brought various animals for the children to touch, hear, and see. What a wonderful exploration of just a few of God’s amazing creatures! They brought a red-headed duck, Tarantula, rat snake, and a boxed turtle. Did you know that a Tarantula has eight eyes, or its tiny hairs are a form of defense? The Rat Snake can be found in Michigan? A duck’s eyes are located on the side of its head so they can see predators.
The creativity of our Creator was on full display for the children to experience and see! The connection between children, nature, and animals is a beautiful mystery. Yet one thing is for sure: animals are a tangible connection to God and His love for His world.
